In Everest Trek, Amazon Mission and Stranded!, middle school students use algebraic thinking and data analysis to solve engineering problems in real world settings. The Building Math series was developed through a partnership with the Boston Museum of Science and Tufts University.

Texas 5E Inquiry Science Units – Grade 5
Adopted by the State Board of Education, these user friendly, hands-on science units address the new and expanded TEKS for Grade 5. Each unit employs the 5E Model of Inquiry: Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and Evaluation with the 5Es highlighted in both teacher and student materials. Each student worksheet is accompanied by a companion version with scaffolding for SPED and ELL students. Spanish translations of both worksheet versions are included.
