This collection of Honors Supplemental Resources addresses the “additional mathematics that students should learn in order to take advanced courses such as calculus, advanced statistics, or discrete mathematics as indicated by (+)” in the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. Student workbooks are also available.
These resources may be used along with core Integrated Pathway Math I, II, or III materials or Traditional Pathway Algebra, Geometry and Algebra II materials in honors or accelerated courses or with individuals and groups of students requiring additional challenge.
The Honors Resources are organized into 9 honors topics and provide one or more lessons for each topic. The topics are:
- Matrices and Vectors
- Probability Distribution
- Using Matrices to Solve Systems of Equations
- Complex Numbers
- Conic Sections
- Cavalieri’s Principle
- Rational Functions
- Building Functions
A total of 26 lessons address the 37 CCSS (+) standards not included in Appendix A.

In addition, the Honors Supplement provides an Extension Task for each of the ten honors topics. These offer more sophisticated opportunities for applying the honors concepts, along with strategies for introducing, facilitating, and debriefing to encourage discourse.
