PORTLAND, ME (August 27, 2013) – The recent release of Spring 2013 EOCT results by the Georgia Department of Education shows impressive progress among districts implementing Walch Education’s CCGPS Coordinate Algebra resources. On average, districts that implemented Walch’s teacher and student resources gained 12 spots on the EOCT statewide performance rankings over the past 12 months.
Heather Lloyd of Hart County says “Walch’s Coordinate Algebra materials have been extremely helpful in helping Hart County rate in the top 25% of the EOCT scores in Georgia. Walch is the only company we have discovered which aligns so closely to our standards here in Georgia and we highly recommend Walch to other schools.”
In addition to Coordinate Algebra, Walch recently completed the development of its CCGPS 100% aligned Analytic Geometry materials and will begin releasing CCGPS Advanced Algebra in early 2014.
The CCGPS Coordinate Algebra and Analytic Geometry programs were custom built from scratch using the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards and the Georgia Department of Education Frameworks, and include crosswalks to relevant GDOE Learning Tasks to facilitate the programs’ use. Each is offered in both print and digital formats and can be purchased as individual units and components to meet district needs and budgets.
Each program also offers a Digital Enhancement package that includes Digital Warm Ups with engaging videos and Digital Instruction with interactive applets. Hardcover Student Resource Books and consumable Student Workbooks round out the program.
“Our job is to support teachers in the classroom, providing them with the resources they need to implement standards-based learning and transition to a problem-based approach,” said Al Noyes, President of Walch Education. “The efficacy of our teacher-centric design, happily, is borne out by these excellent results, for which we congratulate our partner districts.”
